Jinci Temple

Jinci Temple, located in Jinyuan District, Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, is a royal ancestral garden built to commemorate Tang Shuyu, the founding prince of the State of Jin, and is celebrated as the “Little Jiangnan of North China.”
The scenic area is renowned for its ancient architecture, sculpture, and springs, housing national-treasure structures such as the Hall of the Holy Mother, the Flying Bridge across Yuzhao Pool, and the Hall of Offerings that span the Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties.
In late spring and early summer, the Jin River murmurs and ancient trees tower overhead; in autumn and winter, the halls stand majestic and ginkgo leaves turn golden. A stroll here offers both the profound weight of the Three-Jin culture and the vivid grace of a traditional garden landscape.
